Fall is here!

I can't remember a Fall I've enjoyed more than this. The rain, the cool breeze, the leaves...ahh. My husband even graciously assented to my putting the Halloween decorations up a month early!! Point for Brittany. Fall also brings a myriad of acting opportunities to my doorstep, and I love to work! Read on for more on that.

pssst! Actors, listen close!

 Are you thinking  about next years  taxes yet? You  should! If you  begin  every year  in January  by  starting a log of  acting expenses,  and  making sure  to save  receipts  from those,  by  April of next year  you will have a  nice,  concise  packet of  information from  which to pull to  accurately get the tax  breaks you need.  Remember to think in context. Gas and car maintenance? check. Makeup and clothes specifically used for acting? check. Headshots, prints, mailouts? check, check, check. Use your printer for just resume printing? Deduct your print cartridges. Movie stubs, plays, workshops, classes, all are valid deductions. Why do I know this? Not because I'm skilled with taxes. I'm THRIFTY! And it pays off big time to be a thrifty actor.

Running

Apparently I just couldn't help myself. I will be running the White Rock Lake half marathon in December. After my first half in April with the OKC Memorial Marathon, I have been itching to do another.  Wish me luck!
